PERSONAL INTEGRITY QUESTIONED

Image
The Kenyan debate has become such a trendy trend, with the process and the candidates being talked about all over the World in a good or bad way, but all that matters is the kind of great patience and trust Kenyans have shown the IEBC. That however is not my focus. This most talked about topic lately has left me with numerous questions with concerns to Personal Integrity, which is my topic this time round. At this time, we are all judging and measuring up what the level of  the Kenyan Presidential Candidates Credibility and Personal Integrity . I have a whole lot to write and talk about, but thank God someone said it in a simpler way before me, because, I may be biased. Personal Integrity can mean many things to many people, but it all rounds up to being true to self and upright with others. So, ' Remember, people will judge you by your actions, and NOT your intentions. You may have a heart of Gold, but so does a hard-boiled egg'. Said Anonymous. We should always remember, ...

HAPPY WOMEN'S DAY

Image
I am going to keep this piece short, precise and pretty. Call me selfish, but I deserve to make us feel special today. I celebrate the power behind life and success of many great men. A good number have contributed to remarkable history,  achievements or innovations that have contributed in making the World, a greater place today. Simply put, women are a great creation of God, that enough men will hate to live without, children call mothers, you may have them as boss, sister, auntie, grandma', help, or whatever you call them, they still mean something important, and that will be dearly missed if left vacant. :) So, to crown it all; 'I have seen too much not to know that the impression of a woman may be more valuable than the conclusion of an analytical reasoner. ' Sir Arthur Conan Doyle- The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes .     Who does not have a kind of connection with us, even Jesus had us as cool friends, God created as second, to make the world complete...

FRIENDSHIP UNCURTAINED

Image
The best time to make a friend is when you do not need one. Friendship comes in a very weird and unplanned manner. Think of how you became friends with your own best friend, where and how you met, who said hi, or did you just start talking. Was it funny, fun, or totally out of place? What was your first impression of them? were you introduced to each other or did you just make friends? Two words best describe this; a relationship and mutual. So, there has to be a relationship between two or more people, who hold a mutual understanding for each other. A relationship is an association between two people that may be short or long term. it may also be intimate or interpersonal. Mutual on the on the hand means  reciprocal, with respect or towards the other. Friendship in essence then means you have the other person in mind, you consider how they feel and how they are doing at all times. Friendship is simply selfless. A friend is someone who you first know well, understand e...

Making Choices

Image
We have had enough times, 'life is about choices', why then does the same topic has to be repeated over and over? Is it because we make different choices all the time, every day, they all come with different challenges every other time. How then is it possible for someone to research or even write an astounding summary of a book on 'Making Choices' I cannot help but question the relevance of however you see this topic, of which I am really interested in. Photo from www.learning-mind.com I have been thinking of a proper hypothesis for a research topic, one that can be studied across communities and traditions. Every human being is faced with a situation that needs a solution, which is a choice in the end. So, all the communities of the World can relate to this topic way too well. But how do I even set up a questionnaire for this? It is too wide a topic. How then do I make it specific and still cover all the vast areas?  I mean, how do I even cover this to...

Dads rock the World....

Image
Yeah!! Yeah!! We have always fought for the girl child, and women. This time I want all of us to 'hats off' for the best men in the world, the Dads. Without them, we will have definitely been non-existent. So, the last 3 weeks have been crazy for our family. My dad decided to go for an extensive body check up at The Karen Hospital, after a pro-longed body weakness and chest pains. Of course, my mum had him really pushed before he freely boarded that flight from Lodwar to Nairobi. Once again, I repeat, he freely came to Nairobi, which means he got himself to Nairobi and to The Karen Hospital, that Friday, the 4th of January, 2013. After an hour or two of serious check-up with the doctors, he was given the most surprising news, he suffered Pneumonia. My dad, is diabetic, yeah, so his blood sugar levels were pretty high by the time he got to the hospital, but, he is one man who will always give a serious situation, a pretty lovely face. Due to the 2 illnesses, he had to be a...
