Making Choices

Image
We have had enough times, 'life is about choices', why then does the same topic has to be repeated over and over? Is it because we make different choices all the time, every day, they all come with different challenges every other time. How then is it possible for someone to research or even write an astounding summary of a book on 'Making Choices' I cannot help but question the relevance of however you see this topic, of which I am really interested in. Photo from www.learning-mind.com I have been thinking of a proper hypothesis for a research topic, one that can be studied across communities and traditions. Every human being is faced with a situation that needs a solution, which is a choice in the end. So, all the communities of the World can relate to this topic way too well. But how do I even set up a questionnaire for this? It is too wide a topic. How then do I make it specific and still cover all the vast areas?  I mean, how do I even cover this to...

Dads rock the World....

Image
Yeah!! Yeah!! We have always fought for the girl child, and women. This time I want all of us to 'hats off' for the best men in the world, the Dads. Without them, we will have definitely been non-existent. So, the last 3 weeks have been crazy for our family. My dad decided to go for an extensive body check up at The Karen Hospital, after a pro-longed body weakness and chest pains. Of course, my mum had him really pushed before he freely boarded that flight from Lodwar to Nairobi. Once again, I repeat, he freely came to Nairobi, which means he got himself to Nairobi and to The Karen Hospital, that Friday, the 4th of January, 2013. After an hour or two of serious check-up with the doctors, he was given the most surprising news, he suffered Pneumonia. My dad, is diabetic, yeah, so his blood sugar levels were pretty high by the time he got to the hospital, but, he is one man who will always give a serious situation, a pretty lovely face. Due to the 2 illnesses, he had to be a...

In a Woman's World

Image
More than a half of the World's women population had pictured themselves in a wedding dress, marrying their prince charming as little girls. We hold this dream so dear until our first breakup with a dear boyfriend, and then, the guys who come after this period, fall victims of the heartless guy who they came after. We then go to schools, where we meet the girls who have gone through the same situation, make friends and talk about our broken hearts over and over again, until it does not affect us anymore. At this point, we are not surprised anymore when a guy is acting all funny. Most probably we are prepared for the worst but are still willing to fight some more. Many are times when we refuse to get over the past and dwell on it as a means of reference to any bad situation that comes up in our lives. We begin to doubt everyone including our girlfriends. We are angry at everyone. We put up a 'trust no-one policy' which inturn does us more harm than good. People then s...
