Celebrating The Life of Samuel Mutua Kivuitu

You definitely know him. He was born in Wamunyu on 16th February, 1939. He attended  Mbaikini Primary School between 1946 and 1954 and later joined Machakos Boys in 1955 to 1958. He furthered his education at the Makerere (1959-1960) and Dar es Salam (1961-1964) Universities and majored in law studies. He later got married to Priscilla Ndululu and were blessed with 7 children- 2 daughters and 5 sons, he then moved to Ruaraka where his family still lives. He was employed as Satate Counsel in 1964 before he became a resident magistrate and later moved to Private practice in 1968. He has been a member of the Law Society of Kenya. He will be remembered for fighting for the rights of domestic workers, which was his onset mission as he joined Parliament as MP for Parklands (later extended to Westlands) in 1969 though he later lost his seat to Njoroge Mungai in 1974.
